Madthumbs I’m pretty sure just uses ai to summarize things for him. He slips a lot, he had me going for a while but he straight up lied about having used proton to some user, the user told him madthumbs his experience with proton which is what more accurate to what I remembered when steam deck was released. madthumbs then said something like “huh I remember the experience being subjective, but my ai agreed with what you said!” And then just fucked off completely disregarding what he said before.

He heavily uses ai for his posts too. I mean maybe he is legit and knows what hes talking about but every once and a while it feels like he slips up and I’m unsure. Because a lot of what he says is just basic arguments gemeni will bring up if you ask it “how do I shit on Linux fans” and a lot of stuff he mentions is out dated too. I don’t know.

He always got wet food with free feeding dry food. But we started watering it down now days just to make sure.

We dont fully know what cause the blockage, it could be litter, stress, food, etc.

The vet never told us specifically what could of caused it because she had no way to know. We assumed it was the meat snacks we gave him because that was one of the few variables that made sense to us that the vet listed. Could of even been the food brands we where feeding him at the time, could be the dusty litter.

Regardless we didn’t risk any variable and changed to his prescription diet, the litter, and the works and we havent had a issue sense. I still think it was the meat but honestly could of been the liter, or various other things. Certainly not going to start testing to prove my hypothesis.

Also he’s 5-6 years old with 4 of those years with us. From those years before the bladder blockage yeah I would say he was a normal healthy cat with no issues before that. Most of the time you don’t get a cat with preexisting conditions, you just end up with a cat and you presume its healthy until proven otherwise. He could of had this before but it took a long time for the issue to surface.

Its more common than I thought. The vet said it effects 1/10 male cats, and more and more it seems to be a issue these days. Our vet says its the cat food everyone gets these days doesnt help.

And I know the person wasn’t calling me out directly, I didn’t make a single comment until I read that one and decided to reply. Listen man I just don’t want someone to feel like I did. We had to drive 2 hours at mid night to the nearest emergency vet and they had to keep him there for two days. I had to do sidejobs every weekend to pay off the bill. Thankfully they didn’t start charging interest until maybe a year after and we got it payed off before that no problem.

What makes it worse is cats dont show pain. My wife did not seemed concerned what so ever that he wouldnt get out of bed for the whole day, and was really dismissive when I pointed out he acts like he doesnt want to sit down or lay down. It wasn’t until I googled the symptoms said its deadly before she decided maybe it was serious. I just dont think most people “get” cats, or are expecting them to communicate to you like a dog.

Not even hating. Literally only gave my male cat two bites of perschuto and he got a bladder blockage.

Was painful, he almost died, and it costed 6 grand. We didn’t have pet insurance then so that was a lesson I did not forget.

I seen my cat in intense pain and almost die, I am almost slightly offended you would call me a hater for trying to warn another person of what could happen. If anyone doesnt know yes over salty foods and fatty foods are bad for cats, especially male cats. You can call someone a hater for sounding passionate but I think you should understand where that passion comes from, and its a one of concern. Its not someone telling you what to do, it’s someone warning you.

Would more likely be a forceful regulation of cars.

More likely we would be trying to push out imported cars by pushing some kind of “american saftey” regulation. Maybe claiming that the imported cars have Chinese spyware in them (but the spyware in our cars is cool), or by saying that they are trying to flood the market with cheap unsafe garbage cars so we need to tarrif them even more to save our domestic car market.

All while we forcefully regulated in more computers that make the roads even more unsafe. No one can turn their god damn neck anymore because of those stupid blind spot detectors and lane assist just means you can text while driving now. Oh and every car needs to collect more data than your phone can do legally. Bullshit computers won’t let you change the MOTOR for your windshield because the part is Vin locked so you have to spend 500 dollars on just the motor before the technician who is the only person allowed to work on your car, charges you 2.5 grand in labor. All that for a fix that uses to cost 20 dollars at a pick and pull.

Another route we can go is because cars have so many cameras the cars now have to have some American made operating system forced into them for “national security” which Honda, KIA, etc will all have to scramble to get working and it will be a disastrous mess that bricks cars, and causes a lot of issues.

In no way shape or form are cars going to become cool again and become deregulated. If anything gets deregulated its the consumer protections for data collection. Cars are on track to be this thing you are not allowed to own, but like a autonomous taxi that you indefinitely rent, and have no control or ownership over. It will be a narc and report and record everything you do. Its like public transport, but you have to pay the price for the whole car, and pay a monthly subscription for it on top of paying for the matience (that only the OEM can do at a $250 a hr labor charge).

I can only wish cars could become more degregulated. When the steam deck released pretty much only native Linux games ran well, or small indie games worked with proton. The whole verification system and valve working on proton at the same time really kicked up the speed at which games “just worked.” These days I do not even have to look at proton GE I can just blindly buy new games and expect them to work. For example I bought “RV there yet” the day it was released and there was no indication anywhere that it was playable, but I bought it anyways and it ran fine.

When I first started Linux so much of getting a game to run was making wine prefixes and guessing what thing in winetricks you needed to get it to work. I don’t know what miceosoftsppack2006 is but I can tell you thats one of the first things I threw in my prefix because it worked for a game before. Fex is going through that same phase right now, you can play these games on your phone right now but its a series of toggling on and off comparability layers, or what APIs like vulkan work for this game, but not that one, etc. The whole process of having it on the market, and the verfication system, etc need to be in motion.

If mulvad didn’t take away the ability to just dump your VPN in your router via wiregaurd I would say do that over running the VPN on the system. Use an openwrt capable router and google a good saftey guide.

If you wait long enough they might offer a barebones kit kind of like the old Intel nuks. You can get for cheaper and buy your own ram and storage. Its rumored that the failure for many ai data centers to come to fruition, will line up with the ram manufacturers getting new facilities up, will cause a crash in hardware prices. Don’t know if that means cheap ram or if it gets more expensive in the wacky economy anymore, but its something to gain or lose from when you wait long enough.

I would definately not buy from a scalper though. The thing is barely worth it to me at 700 dollars as a fan boy who would love a new toy from valve. I could not imagine paying close to double for it, or risk getting just scammed. I’m sure I could do something like a charge back, or having to get on some Ai customer support to get my money back but its not worth it to me anymore.
