History is full of groups that were called terrorists before they were called governments. Whoever decides what is an act of war and what is an act of terrorism decides the rules of the game

This post is also Shaneful isn’t it?
Science, language and logic are human made concepts too. It is not like science is uncovering universal truth that was already there, it is also mediated through human symbols just like economics. Even maths cannot be equated to universal facts. It only makes sense within our human symbology.
I do agree economics is the least worthwhile of all sciences. But the meme is about nuclear reactors too and they are sciency?
Amazon benefits from workers who don’t get stressed out too
I agree with your rant, this kind of title is annoying.
I do however also think that doing slow mindful walks will help against stress, so the implication that slow walking brings happiness is not a bad implication. Stressed out fast walking people really should try it. There’s no reason to be in a hurry all of the time.
Maybe try that walking? It doesn’t have to hurt to walk slow
Are you able to meditate for more than a minute?

0·11 days agoWhat is naive about it? The only way to lasting peace is through talks. No amount of violence establishes lasting peace.
Pacifism being naive is the kind of thought the weapons industry wants you to believe.

0·11 days agoTrue, violence only leads to more violence. I don’t believe it’s ever the solution.
However, Trump is making me question this.

0·12 days agoSame goes for killing Khamenei, there’s always someone next in line. It doesn’t mean killing world leaders has no effect…
Don’t you realize how big it would be if Iran manages to kill Trump? It would mean the US President is not untouchable. No foreign actor has yet killed a US president.

The severity of the problem doesn’t exist in Europe…
Such a useless discussion this is.
Of course it’s not exclusive to the US? The severity is exactly what is noteworthy about the situation in the US though.
What do you mean with being naive about drugs? I don’t think in Europe we’re naive about it, we know there’s addiction here as well but we generally try to take care of addicts as fellow human beings instead of excluding them from society and making the situation worse.
Yes some people are just assholes, that is true. The point is there’s several times more assholes per capita in the US.
O, crack users I mean of course.
“Having heard from someone” this or that is a whole different category than the extent of the drug problems in the US.
“I’ve heard from someone there’s this American Football team in Amsterdam, so basically football is the most popular sport in Europe now.”
Of course we do, but at least in Western Europe we take better care of them. There’s generally social welfare programs, shelters, etc. In Amsterdam there’s shelters where they can safely use crack so they have access to clean supplies.
The question “like we DON’T have” is kind of silly. It’s about how predominant the problem is, not whether we also have a couple.
The US has several times the crack user per capita compared to Europe, depending on where in Europe.

Sounds like you’re a pear who grew up on an apple tree. You’re wondering why you fell so far off, while pears are so much sweeter than apples.
