A new Illinois law will target so-called “super-speeders,” requiring them to install speed-limiting devices in their vehicles if they commit multiple road violations.
I mean, it’s a legal requirement for DUI drivers to be able to still drive now… doesn’t stop them from making terrible hardware. Granted, that’s a very tiny market so no real incentive for competition to drive quality either.
I would assume making it a legal requirement would certainly incentivize some quality control.
