I’m not going to cheat and let AI write this for me, and I don’t have the eloquence or prose to write a lengthy acedemia-friendly reserach pieced op-ed. I’m just shooting from the hip, but I think you might appreciate my hunch. Maybe.

I think the real owners of this country (historical owners – i.e. Kochs, DuPonts, Vanderbilts, Waltons, Etc.) no longer enjoy having a literal fascist with Syphilis of the brain to control the nuclear codes or the economic fate of their portfolios. These people are not tech bros, and they do not feel comfortable in these unique new spaces that are destroying humanity and the environment at an accelerated clip. They want their power back. So…they’re willing to do the thing they wouldn’t just 4-8 years ago. They’re going to activate their DSA agents. Namely AOC.

Yeah it sounds crazy. But this recent string of DSA wins from Mamdani to Kiros – feels like some folks with our special 3-letter agencies have been spending heavily to push the other way against the DNC – who have largely been ineffective at drawing populist support from ANYWHERE.

Why would the special folks in special suits do this? Well to help their owners take back control of course. Think “Business Plot of 1933” but in this case, they just want to take it BACK from the fascists, rather than give it to them. I see capital as always playing a dance between two parties – workers and xenophobes. Both are used when needed to swing the pendulum back between the goalposts. Workers get too angry? Throw them a fascist promise-making President. Working conditions get even worse? Throw them a left-leaning liberal pretending to be a socialist, and watch them all be pacified like little babies. Especially if it’s a non-white cis-gendered iron-dome voting female.

I think AOC is going to win in 2028, and it’ll be worse than we could imagine. Because I think capital has us exactly where they want us – swinging from one extreme to a soft liberal landing that Americans will be stupid enough the believe is a “leftist pendulum swing.”

Voting is what they gave us to stop cutting off their heads. It’s to manage their affairs for them. Nothing more. DSA might as well be called C*A.
