Look, we’re going to have different people in the US. They’re going to have different upbringings, different opinions, different lifestyles, and make different choices based on info provided to them.

That said, y’all need to realize it’s not a “left vs right” fight, but a class warfare of wealthy few vs all who’re trying to disrupt, divide, and distract in order to keep their money, influence, and power.

No I didn’t watch the video. Just tired of sides picking on one another fueling hate and divide!

Considering the right uses social issues as wedge issues and uses that wedge to have people vote against their own interests, I’m not sure what you’re suggesting as a solution.

Xenophobia and Islamophobia are used to justify wars that disproportionately negatively affect working class people. They also are used to justify anti immigrant sentiment that decreases our tax base and increases our food costs.

Anti lgbt rhetoric is used to stoke hatred against people who support women’s liberation which helps working class men and women more than upper class men and women. Caring about safety doesn’t make you “gay” or a “pussy”, it makes you someone in solidarity with your fellow workers.

“No war but class war” only works if both sides understand that and they don’t. The studies show that. They would rather vote against their class interests than vote for someone who doesn’t hate the right people.

We need to continue to stamp out hate so it cannot be used to divide us. If people could move beyond racism and their phobias they could see the way they are being manipulated.

The right wants authoritarianism and protect the wealthy. The left does not. Thus it is a class warfare.

Dude, open you’re eyes. Nobody wants actual authoritarianism. The right politicians might want that, but not all the voters…

It’s absolutely class warfare between the wealthy and the poor’s bc as long as we’re distracted fighting each other, we lose, they win. Since the dawn of social media and everyone having their own soap box to stand on and be opinionated, wealth has shifted exponentially in 1 direction… And it’s not to us!

Saying “its not us, the poor conservatives voters, its the politicians we voted for’s fault” is a really hypocritical defense 😆

      What a fucking idiotic take.

The right are actively trying to suppress voting and remove constitutional rights. They’re supporting a pedophile, supporting abhorrent spending, supporting war crimes (in the Caribbean, Venezuela, and the Middle East), abandoning our allies, and embracing the rich and the corruption that enables them. They’re attacking women, healthcare, education, and the scientific method.

These policies don’t take root without the support Republican Voters. Their stupidity does not absolve their responsibility.

Is there some class warfare going on? Sure. Should you still be differentiating between the Right and Left… Abso-fucking-lotely.

By all means, call out the those on the left who are choosing billionaires over voters or are supporting policies that harm the general public, but they are by far the secondary priority.

I’m not defending any sides, nor taking sides. Hear me out. Many Republicans vote only bc that’s what their core beliefs align with “best” to their knowledge. Many don’t listen to anything else nor anyone else, bc Trump has some all to start this whole “misinformation” madness to spread FUD BS (fear, uncertainty, doubt)

One an elected person, like Trump, is in office, he does whatever he wants, and plenty of articles are out there about all the regret many of these voters have for not doing research or homework. Plus, can you blame them?! Both candidates had been in office prior, then bidden drops out leaving Harris as a last minute runner up that so many hate! So, both sides are at fault for allowing Trump back into office!

What you, and a lot do on these subs, do by trashing “the other side” vs trying to educate or assist, is drive them away, make them dig their heels in deeper, etc. Nobody likes being told they’re wrong! Am I wrong to say that? So, instead of getting defensive anytime someone opposes your views, is try to understand why they think that way or where they’re coming from to help overcome their objections to an alt party.

I’m not saying it’s perfect, but holy shit, the amount of shitting on either side is a bit ridiculous… Aren’t y’all tired of fighting? Or tired of not getting anywhere?? If YOU want change, help show anyone else the way to it, not be a stick up their asses like that’ll help any.

It may surprise you to learn that social justice vs. economic justice is just about the oldest and most contentious debate on the left. Coming down hard on one side like it’s a neutral fact that everyone agrees with is the opposite of “bringing people together”.

It’s cool that you empathize with rednecks, try women and POC next.

I’m not empathizing with rednecks. I said I didn’t watch the video. I don’t really care to. But people in this echo chamber of a group just fueling hate and shit posting is really counter productive. Don’t you think?
