I think it should be more than that. I think communities in the US need to socially reorganize around community centers. They should have courts and fields for all major sports and a whole lot of the smaller sports, but we should think bigger. They should also be areas for groups for hobbies, interests, movie nights, stuff like that. The YMCA and American style private sport “club” teams have stepped into the gap, but that shouldn’t stop us from taking it back from private organizations and making these public.
