In a system where power is granted by votes, why bother listening to the dipshits who don’t vote?

When has your nonvote ever resulted in other than the current right-wing hellscape enabled by you?

You really shouldn’t attach your ideology to every goofball comment; you give off the impression all communists are whiney indignant teenagers. Hell, you’re even tempting me further away from atheism, like you’ve shat your pants on the subway XD

Be better. If you can only make your voice heard in internet comments and not voting booths, you frankly don’t deserve to be heard.

My point is, look for alternatives instead of voting for something you don’t want. That’s the idea of democracy.

That’s just dumb. Vote against the worst probable outcome. The idea of democracy is consensus. If your alternative doesn’t reach consensus, it’s just a spoiler against the less bad option. If we had ranked choice voting it would be a different story, but we don’t, so it isn’t.

How many times does a Republican have to win before you get it? Vote strategically, and find your alternatives outside the election. Protest voting is impotent posturing that risks the worst outcome with literally no material.benefit.

BERNIE LOST THE POPULAR VOTE IN THE PRIMARIES BOTH TIMES.

The popular vote is ACTUAL VOTERS. That means ACTUAL VOTERS didn’t like him enough for him to win the primaries.

Christ. It’s 2026. Let the Bernie thing go. I liked him too. I still like him. Doesn’t mean he’s popular with America as a whole.

Now take what I just said and apply it to socialism.

It ain’t gonna fly in America yet. Not gonna happen.

I’d love to listen to more socialists like Mamdani and Janeese Lewis George who understand the value of pragmatism. Unfortunately internet socialists are often just contrarian campists, so I tend to not listen to them.
