I’m not creating this post to make people feel sad or hopeless but saying “it’s never too late” is just unrealistic and stupid.

It’s always too late for transition, and you still have to transition. The best case would be never entering the wrong puberty but this is almost impossible for all of us thanks to fascist governments/society who don’t care about us.

At age 18, male puberty ends. It gets even worse until 25, and keeps getting worse if you don’t start HRT ASAP.

I could pass without surgeries if I transitioned at age 15-16, maybe I would get surgery for my voice but that’s it.

I don’t care if you’re doing well after transitioning at age 25, just never say “it’s never too late for transition”.

I would be brutally honest but I don’t want to trigger anyone but even though I transitioned at age 18 I’m not getting triggered by people who transitioned at age 15.

You can’t give people advice with your feelings.

    Your intentions are utterly insignificant. Here are some facts for you, since you don’t seem to appreciate feelings: your post is hostile.

    Why don’t you just put a gun to my head and pull the trigger? I’m 38 after all, and I have already struggled enough with feelings of meaninglessness and worthlessness.

    Yes its better to transition as soon as possible, ideally before puberty.

    But saying that there is a point where it is too late to transition is just needless gatekeeping euphoria.

    This is just wrong. The age at which person wants to transition and whether they want to take hormones is highly subjective and never same for everyone. And while there are more hormonal changes with age, it simply means that person may need more effort to pass, but it is not impossible. I for example transitioned entirely without hormones even after 18, and feel completely fine.

    Your post is a little hard to parse because there seems to be a few different ideas happening, but this part seems the most helpful.
    “The best time to plant a tree is 10 years ago. The 2nd best time is today.”
    I think this is the general idea you’re trying to convey while also grappling with regret for not being able to start sooner?

    This is wrong. And not only is it wrong its toxic and detrimental to our community.

    Its never too late for anyone. Because when someone believes its too late for them to be happy and not hate themselves, they end up doing horrible things.
