    No. Without sides to guide the ball, it would shoot off almost straight up, instead of turning. The banking isn’t enough to overcome the inertia of a ball going fast enough to make the loop.

      It doesn’t need to turn, it’s a continuous angle if you unfurl it so if you got the angle and speed right it should stay centered and travel the loop.

      Depends on where you launch it from. If you launch it from the end, that would happen. But if you were to launch it from the beginning of the loop you could give it the proper inertia for it to be able to go through the loop.
