    Where did i give them permission to disappoint? Believing it will happen isn’t the same as accepting it. Saying I have no faith or trust in them isn’t giving them permission to do bad

      It’s one thing to talk about their past fecklessness, but another to say that you expect them to do it again, with presumably the same consequences - none. That gives them permission to do it again.

      I’m not wasting time or effort on that. I’m letting them know NOW, that I am ferociously angry at their past failures, and they better not fuck it up again, OR ELSE!

      If you want something different from the past, TELL THEM. Your statement lets them off the hook in advance, mine is a serious warning.
