In an interview with Punchbowl News, Donald Trump said straight out that his voters just might not show up for GOP candidates this fall. That’s a striking admission of one of the thorniest problems the GOP faces. But it gets worse. Trump also declared that “a lot” of his voters are “not angry at me,” but “are very angry at Republicans.” That will likely be read by his supporters as a declaration that Republicans are failing Trump, and as encouragement to stay home. Meanwhile, polling shows MAGA voters turni…
Fuck no. It wont matter if all those dumbass sitouts decide to do absolutely nothing again. Its like letting the guy who said he’d abuse your child first chance he has, take them to school.
Copium.
LOL, I just saw some man on the street type of interview and the guy is super disappointed in his vote for Donvict. He said he “won’t even vote” next time.

Seriously, so many voters just cannot see themselves possibly voting for Democrats. It’s either come out and enthusiastically support the Republican, or…get pissed about the inevitable outcome of a Republican being in office and of course fucking up everything, including, duh, the economy (how Republicans got a rep for “handling the economy well” is just dumbfounding), and then be so GGRRR MAD that you…won’t vote at all.
Anyway, don’t get lulled by headlines like this. Get out there and vote.
Last Canadian election, my grandmother was reluctant to vote. I suspect this is because she always votes conservative and somehow she couldn’t fathom the idea she could just vote for another party if she doesn’t want the conservatives to win
Having these people disengage from politics would be a good thing though so we should encourage it
“Voting is for fags” should be psyopped around Republican social media channels. It would speak to them.
I mean, didn’t Fuentes say (men) having sex with women is gay? And somehow didn’t lose all of his followers as he listens to the roar of the world laughing at him?
Hey, I’m not going to be saddened by the fact that a bunch of repuglicunts aren’t voting. We can all see how that works out by looking at the last election. If it means democrats end up back in power? Fine. If it means Democratic Socialists end up in power? Awesome.
I guess I’m happy fewer people are voting red but I’d feel better if more people were voting blue than not voting at all
Decades of Right Wing News and Radio propoganda.
They frame democrats as working with the litetal Christian Devil. If you are a Christian and believe this you cannot possibly think of voting for a Dem no matter how bad the Republican candidate is. They make it a choice of good vs evil not policy differences
I try to base my vote on good vs evil policy, and not in the Christian sense. I don’t need a god to tell me the difference between right and wrong.
Exiting a cult is a process. The people who voted for Trump at least once have generally been indoctrinated with distrust and hatred of Democrats for most or all of their lives. All that indoctrination doesn’t go away once they start to see the cracks in the MAGA facade. Continuing the process takes work, and some of them will do it and some of them will either disengage or recommit to the lie. But some of them continue to do the work. It takes time.
But agreed, they aren’t to be depended upon to make good decisions, so if you’re not close to the cult you still have to vote.
Do remember, though, that as soon as Democrats appear to have control (assuming they do), these people watching Fox and OANN and all the other propaganda outlets will immediately have the blame placed on Democrats, which they want to believe, and so they will. Trump was still cleaning up, you see, after two years, but now Democrats supposedly have control and haven’t immediately solved every problem, or the propaganda lies and says there’s all these problems caused by them - and they’re right back to voting red.
So I just don’t hold out much hope.
It doesn’t help that even if Dems take the House and the Senate both… you need a supermajority to ensure you can pass things, so the Republicans will continue to obstruct and pretend Dems can’t do anything when it’s them obstructing.
I don’t usually buy into “both sides same”, but this is actually how ‘both sides’ win or lose elections - if you put up a candidate that people are excited to vote for, people vote. If they’re disappointed, they don’t.
This is the majority of voters, not the vanishingly small minority that post online or pay attention to politics.
Worth remembering, too, that since most of our media is oligarch-owned, they are constantly preaching “both sides” and “Dems bad” - minimizing the Democratic candidates while giving the Republicans passes. So you are right, but that is also influence by media propaganda.
No no no, it’s not an admission of weakness at all. He is incapable of that. It is two contradictory things, at the same time:
-
if Democrats win, it’s because they cheat! Expect a lot of whining after the midterms, which will seem pointless but manifest itself as a series of Jan 6’s in scattered statehouses where the stochastic “freedom fighters” try to fix it themselves.
-
Then, when that fails, he will blame Republicans for not backing him enough, and announce his plans to form a new party. He seems to have (finally!) accepted that he can’t run again, but Donald Trump Jr. will run instead, on an explicit platform of “My Dad’s still in charge”. They won’t even need to change the hats.
They’ll change the hats, gotta sell cheap tacky merch somehow
-
Don’t fall for this shit. Get out there and fight. Vote. Take a day off work if you have to. Don’t cave into intimidation by Trump’s armed fascist thugs.

Oh, absolutely. ✊
Still, this is one I wanted to hear for myself, in context. My stomach gets easily upset from listening to Trump speak, so this doesn’t happen more often than once a week.
… the video …
Yeah no need to watch this, the quotes in the blurb above are enough. The rest is his usual stammering about how everybody likes him and there’s tremendous amounts of this or that…
Some people falsely think Trump is even ruffled by public opinion or what the voting public thinks of him. Highly likely he’s “unraveling” about anything. Next week he’ll be back to his old antics when it comes to Iran.
He does whatever TF he wants with impunity.
