Stardew Valley. Theres some fucked up shit beneath the surface, but you can financially support yourself just from taking nature walks. thats all i want.

For both you have to be — this depressed and traumatized and fueled with controlled rage
Culture. No question.
Wouldn’t mind a lift, if the good ship Arbitrary is listening.
same
I’m coming with you.
Always my first thought when I see this question
Starfield. Its boring as fuk, and that’s what you want. Nice quiet life. With spaceships.
Adventure Time. Wild crazy adventures, all sorts of interesting creatures. Artisan pickles. You would never be bored.
Was about to reply the same but thought I’d check if anyone else said it. +1!

Wouldn’t mind being isekaied to Palamustus from He Who Fights With Monsters.
Provided I get to be some kind of normal Outworlder like Travis or Taika, def don’t want to be dealing with Jason level shit. The world of Shrek has tons of cool magic in it, sign me up! But also most cartoon/animation worlds, where you can survive all sorts of physical shenanigans with no injuries or consequences.
Whichever universe food commercials take place in as soon as someone says their hungry the most beautiful food appears instantly but somehow no one ever gets fat. I know that IRL those commercials use paint, woodchips and all sort of nasty stuff to get it looking like that, but IN UNIVERSE everyone loves it.
I would have said Adventure Time but sometime else got there first. I’m only about a third in but maybe Persona (5)? For the music alone 🎶
Less well known but,
Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers or
The nine worlds of The Hands of the Emporer by Victoria Goddard
nice people doing the best they can, in a world that isn’t like our current dystopia
In Psalm, would you want to be a robot or a human?
Just assumed I had to be a human, but now given the choice, I’ll take life as a robot.
Just like Mona Lisa, a manga (soon to be anime) where people are born genderless and at 12, they choose which puberty to go through.
Yes I’m trans, why do you ask? 😆
Frankly, any cozy-game universe would probably be perfect. Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Disney Dreamlight Valley. Even if I end up bored of all the happiness, I can go villain then later have a redemption arc.
Very few of them, which annoys me. 90% of fictional universes are dystopian, on the edge of collapse, and only savable by a smaller group.
The Trails games kind of stood out for having a world that’s usually on pace, and isn’t even aware of whatever sinister plot your detectives/adventurers are looking into.
For a second I thought you said the ‘Trials’ games. I guess living in a world of cartoonish side scrolling motocross wouldn’t be so bad
Not even Trials is safe from dystopian sci-fi. The series has some gnarly entries lol
