Hundreds of Lindsay Clancy supporters, many wearing pink clothing emblazoned with phrases such as “Believe,” “She Needed Help” and “Peace For Lindsay,” gathered Thursday outside the courthouse where she is on trial in the killings of her three children.
Several of the 300 women, and a few men, said Clancy’s story resonated with them and that they wanted to raise awareness about how the mental health system treats women. Clancy’s lawyer does not dispute that she killed the children, but says she should not be held criminally responsible because she was mentally ill.
I wouldn’t recommend automatically believing everything you read on the Internet.
You can watch the testimony and questions on Youtube and come to your own conclusion on it. The reason I typed up this whole thing is because so many people are just automatically believing she is guilty because they read a headline. Your advice goes both ways.
The courts aren’t trying to decide whether or not she did it, or if her husband did it. They are decoding whether or not her mental state makes her criminally liable. She already admitted that she did it. There isn’t any doubt there.
You clearly “did your own research on YouTube”. It shows in how to you don’t know what you’re talking about, and are regurgitating influencer misinformation instead of talking about the actual facts of the case.
If you read my original post, I clearly mentioned this. I never claimed the court was determining if she or the husband did it. What I said, was that what came up provides reasonable doubt that she did do it. And in my personal opinion, from what I saw in the actual testimony and not influencer misinformation, I think the husband is actually responsible. Like I said, this information about the husband came up during the trial, after her lawyer had started the trial with an insanity plea. It’s not misinformation to discuss new details that come to light. I don’t know why you think it’s impossible for things to change as new evidence emerges.
