I think there needs to be a complete overhaul with the standardization of elections, for example all seats in a body of congress are up for reelection in the same cycle (say, house every 4 years mid term coincided with local/state elections, senate with presidential election)

I mean, there should also be term limits, ranked choice voting, the end of the elected choosing their voters (gerrymandering), ending the electoral college, representation (house) reform, accountability reform, and basically just nuke the system and start again.
