Yes, Canada gives a lot less subsidies to farmers than the US does so our products are more expensive. We also have higher food standards which increase costs.
Not to mention that the United States allows dairy Farmers to use growth hormones that can pass into the milk. Apparently, American use of these hormones has dropped, but it is still permitted.
