Earlier this year, several sports organizations, including Parkrun, were facing potential legal action over their inclusivity – this was spearheaded by the U.S-based Alliance for Defending Freedom, known for targeting LGBTQ+ people and organizations and championing far-right causes in court.

Organizations with the primary goal of denying minority groups equal rights shouldn’t be allowed to use ‘freedom’ in their names.
