The ‘URL’ and the ‘Image’ field are mutually exclusive. You can only have one or the other. The post title just links to the ‘Image’ if it is set.
What you want to do - if you want both a link and a pic - is to use the ‘Thumbnail URL’ field to set the image (and put the link in the ‘URL’ field, of course).

Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind as I’ve run into that issue before. I wanted it to work as a thumbnail and I didn’t realise the difference
