My poor wife has to deal with my adhd all the time, which includes cooking. I can’t stand cooking, and have always looked for ways to avoid it. I’ve seen lots of people on here express the same sentiment, and I’m curious if anybody has any advice? What works for you to trick your brain into cooking?

I love cooking, so I may not be the best person to trick your brain into loving it. For me, it’s a healthy thing to hyperfocus on, and I can nerd out and be obsess over my kitchen knives and carbon steel pans. The key is preparation and anticipation. This is where your neurotypical entourage might help. They organize, you cook.
Phase 1: planning in advance
Phase 2: prepping
Phase 3: cooking
Bonus, ADHD edition
That can’t be true! Now I have to try it 🤣
I appreciate the detailed advice!
It is true!
You’re welcome. I have a lot of other tricks to spice up your cooking life (wink wink) and elevate any basic, bland dish with little effort ;)
