It lead to it lead to several resignations of prosecutors and Trump appointees, and ICE deployments retreated to pre-surge levels. Real, concrete results when people took to the streets.
But now the streets are empty because everyone is just waiting for the Midterms; they think voting will save them.
Maybe it will. Maybe Trump won’t be able to rig or cancel the elections, and then a divided government will make Trump a lame duck president.
Just don’t be shocked when voting doesn’t work this time, and be prepared to learn from the Minnesota general strike. Workers run the country and they can shut it down whenever they want, they just have to be organized enough to use that power.
