Why is it only for some people and not universal?
It’s not bad, actually. It applies to:
- People who don’t already have existing dental insurance
- Families that make less than $90k/yr (which I think is higher than the median household income across the country)
This is probably (hopefully) a stopgap to prevent backlash from shortsighted (imo) employers and employees who had Dental and considered it a job perk.
Cool, now do eyecare. And while you’re at it, federally protect our healthcare from being privatized.
and ban loblaws from being Around healthcare.
It’s easier to fight for what we have than it is to get it back once it’s gone.
