      If I get the joke/reference, I would assume you mean:

      Lovato = (Demi + Poot) * Lovato

      …which further implies (Demi+Poot) = 1?

        If:

        demi = 0.5 = x

        and assuming

        poot = 0.5 = y

        and also

        lovato = 1 = z

        then:

        x + y = z
