Rich people mostly hang out with rich people, so preference notwithstanding it’s expected they’d find partners from that pool. As for preferences, I’d guess it varies a lot person to person but averages out to a preference for people with at least some status.
There are some wealthy people who want love and some who just enjoy arm candy. There are dating apps/matchmaking services exclusively for rich and famous people like raya. They tend to have a lot of rich men and social butterfly influencer types of women on there. But you will also find wealthy people who met their partners before the money. It’s a mixed bag like anything.
