I want to give myself glp1 drugs, but i didn’t want to pay $1000 for a dose, so i want to buy it overseas. Illegal.

I’m not sure of the efficacy of the pills vs the injections, but in the USA you can get Wegovy pills for $149/month now, which AFAIK is roughly the same price as other countries.

Wtf? That’s little more than HALF what it costs in Denmark where drugs are usually much CHEAPER than in the US!

Idk about the pills, but my wife has been on the shot since last year and it was $25 a month on my particular insurance plan in the US. This year insurance got worse and plan cost went up drastically. I now pay $50 a month, although we recently changed to get a 3 month supply and that came to $100 for the 3 months. Sounds ok i guess, but my insurance alone costs like $1400 a month or almost $17k a year… i would much rather pay $150 a month and save the 17k a year.

I still don’t understand the three month discounts lol. Seems like a bunch of insurance plans have it. With my insurance, you can either get one month, or three months’ worth for the exact same price as one month, so I’m not sure why anyone would ever get refills monthly.

I’m very thankful that my employers covers almost all the cost of my (and my wife’s) insurance. My wife is self-employed so it’d be pretty expensive if she needed to get her own health insurance.

I started wegovy pill last month and have lost 30lbs so far, roughly 8% of my starting body weight.

I’m a fat fuck though, and my first pounds always come off easy. Plus there were a couple days I just didn’t eat because I was throwing up and/or diarrhea constantly.

Vomit seems to be punishment for eating bad food (or over-eating, which is easy to do from old habits but also the medication makes you feel full sooner, and you learn to set smaller portions quick)…probably something greasy. Choose the carrot or risk the stick.

Diarrhea just seems to be a fact of life. One minute I’m pissing out my ass, an hour later I’m having the healthiest looking stool of my life. Important to remain hydrated, I guess.

The starting doses are $149/mo with mfg coupon and no insurance. Higher doses I think are $199. I believe both are cheaper than the injected variety.

As much as I hate the fact that I have to pay out of pocket for any medication…I’m fairly sure my grocery bill dropped by more than $149 since starting.
