UK canals are 3 feet deep. Feet, not meters, that’s paddling-pool territory. Even if you can’t swim, you’d just stand there in ruined joggers going, “…was that supposed to kill me?”

That being said, have any Brits here swam in a canal before? What do you make of the “canal pusher” hoaxes? Is it like your equivalent to sewer gators?

    2. Shallow water can still kill you if you hit your head on the way in. I’ve never swam in a canal because they’re full of submerged shit you can’t see, that’s what would kill you if you got pushed in.
