iirc the two posts per day limit came into being as a response to someone making accounts, posting mediocre-at-best rage bait comics, deleting their accounts, repeat ad nauseam, and never engaging in the comments

That sucks. Tho if it did and they enforced the two post limit per day rule, that would also suck.

You can try petitioning the instance admins to remove the absent mod and put someone else in charge.
