It’s well-established both colloquially and in industry that things produced by the human body and/or biological processes like human breast milk and human hair (used for wigs) are considered natural. Why would farts be any different?

The common meaning of synthetic in this context is that the product is manufactured chemically and/or mechanically and specifically excludes natural biological processes.

In the same way that the teeth humans produce are natural and dentures are synthetic, human-produced farts are natural and fart spray would be the synthetic version.

        Farts are made by bacteria.

Technically they’re the sum product of your gut bacteria, so farts are a true socialist product.

So you’re not even liable for them? More like an act of gawd?

Well, they are your gut bacteria, and you feed and care for them, so, like other pets/livestock, you are responsible for what you feed them, which controls some of the production, and for what you do with the results.
