    Being close to an activist myself, they are outsiders by definition. I don’t know of any society that recognizes and pays for the job they do. Their job is very important for large groups of people, requires extra hours, doesn’t pay well if at all, and is dangerous as fuck. On the side of society, it’s a loathed activity, even by the poor people, and it’s something that doesn’t easily allow people to scale socially. Worst of everything, activists rarely get recognition, and when they do, they are probably being tortured or dead.

    Yeah, who the hell truly likes Greta Thurnberg? I certainly don’t, but I respect her, no matter where she’s coming from.
