Althea Raj had been dancing around this for a long time. She clearly was hearing things like this from inside caucus since not long after Carney got the job but she wasn’t so direct about it in her reporting. I guess she finally just got what she needed to feel confident writing the article, but it’s hardly lightning in blue skies. There’s been no shortage of preceding rumbles.
Never treat politicians as stars. They are not. It does not help in keeping them honest.
