That’s confirmed, one of the other residents has seen a fight between two. So I’ll have to set the trap again. I just tried to upload a video of me releasing it but it wouldn’t upload
If it’s a carpet I’d leave it myself. I’d have released the rat back in the yard too but he’ll smash my veges and I don’t want to encourage an EB into my garage area which I’ve had a couple of here.
Oh bloody hell. Yeah that would freak me out. I’ve only seen a few snakes in the 32 years that I’ve been in Aus. The last one was a carpet about 7 metres from where I am right now.
Well as you are probably aware, if you’ve seen one there’s heaps more around. Possibly.

Wait you released it !?!?!?!?!
Yeah it’s a native. The wildlife rescue people asked me to release it in a good spot not far away
Like a snake release I guess
I wish I could upload the video it’s great
Ohhhh that’s awesome then. I had thought it was a common rat. Must admit it did look a bit different but I’m no expert.
I believe that snakes shouldn’t be released too far away or they will perish.
Yeah within a kilometre if possible.

Nice to see that you know and care about snakes. Sorry but what’s an EB ?
Eastern brown. They’re generally the most common around here. I’ve had three in the yard.
