Queensland is the latest to crack down on e-bikes after more than 6000 hospitalisations were linked to e-mobility devices between 2022 and 2025.
How many of them were hit by cars?
Out of the full 6000 I have no idea. But out of the much smaller number of actual deaths that have been prominently in the news, the answer is a lot. And most of those left over were not ebikes, but non-compliant electric motorbikes.
