We spend a lot of time reading books. Some of them, maybe a disproportionate number, we like. Others, not so much.
Disproportionate because, at least for me, it’s difficult to get through 500 pages of something I dislike.
This is one of those occasions where you are encouraged to be constructive in your criticism. Hopefully, with some wit.
Leave a review for a book you didn’t like and tell us what to read instead.
While I liked the books, I have a bone to pick with any school who decides to have students study Tom Sawyer or The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Like how do you completely disregard Mark Twains foreword where he literally wishes bodily harm on anyone attempting to analyze the stories as anything more than fun adventure stories.

Fuck off! Maybe it’s just a fucking river? Maybe Twain wrote a fun story about a boy on an adventure and you have twisted his works into being something more than it was ever intended to be? Damn the American School system! Forcing a child to hyper analyze stories like this and find symbolism where none was intended is a surefire way to turn a child who loves reading into one that hates it. Thats not how books are meant to be read! ESPECIALLY NOT TWAIN!! If he were alive, I’d like to think he’d spend his days punching out middle school English teachers for bastardizing his work.
