Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is your most loved and often used kitchen gadget or appliance?
0·17 days agobut the differences between fridges can be spectacular. i had a fridge where carrots go brown and become rubberlike within 2 days, and now they are kept fresh for a week and longer.
don’t be cheap on your fridge!

0·17 days agoyes! i think mine was < 1€ and it’s super useful.
i really hate it to throw away food and this device (not even silicon, just boring white plastic) makes it super easy to empty all kind of bowls and pots.

13·1 month agohow does this compare to snac2 or gotosocial? (are there more like that?)
why is the source code not public?
this is not only true when they describe the product, but their overall personality.
I’m pretty sure a sales person personality would go grumpy if they started programming and seeing all the horrors, but at the same time it’s hard to imagine for a programmer to get happy after switching to sales?
so in regards happiness, programming seems to be a dead end?

0·3 months agoi agree with you, that it’s not good for the environment. how bad is it exactly?
has someone numbers for this? how does a classical cawler + search + stackoverflow compare to a simple ai question/answer and the proportionate training effort? how much is the co2 output for a day of heavy vibe coding compare to this?
how does this co2 output compare to a flight/car drive?

what garlic crusher? i have one, but still chop them by hand, because it takes longer to wash that device, and you lose quite some amount of garlic.
