It shows me that the person is quite ignorant on three things:
I do like the exploratory part of fiction, like “what if X was real” and stretch it as far as it goes. But no, sometimes, we can use parable as a way to understand a little better facets of things, but not it as a whole. That’s where I think people miss the forest for their Voldemort shaped trees.


As a Brazilian that plays videogame on some LATAM servers, I can say that I can only be so courteous after being called a monkey constantly by my Argentinian teammates.

I do disagree. The two examples in question, for me, are the exact reason.
They served as honeypots and litmus test the problematic folks. The mod team did act in the end. The offender was banned.
Comparing to Reddit (any any other social media, really), the mod team is doing great work. I commend them!
