Good thing you didn’t generalize an entire population or anything and show your lack of understanding at how easy it is to just assassinate the POTUS. That would look like quite dumb, hateful, and short slighted opinion had you done so.
Everything you said is true, but I hope more people are seeing the US as the canary we are in the realm of right wing politics. The cancer is spreading and getting more control around the world. Everyone should look at how the US has fallen under the Trump regime and what not to do. That’s not to say that the US was doing great things outside of Trump, but this is certainly worse for the citizens of the US and the cascading effects are clearly having a negative effect on much of the rest of the world.
That’s definitely a choice you can make, but if I see AI at all, I immediately move on from the article or at the very least treat it as nothing of value. Other than the ethical implications of using AI, seeing it tells me the author couldn’t be bothered to care about their article, and so neither will I.
Just some outside perspective and feedback from just one person.
Whether the US is the right choice for you probably depends on your skin tone and where you’d be living. If you appear Asian and move to rural Texas, you’re probably gonna have a bad time. If you look Asian but move to somewhere like NYC where there’s more of a melting pot of citizens and currently liberal leadership, it will probably be a better experience.
There is a lot of bad stuff happening here, but it isn’t detrimental (currently) to everyone equally. I personally wouldn’t consider China due to the extreme censorship and heavy handed government, but the US is tracking that way. Japan has its own issues as you mentioned, but I’m not well versed enough to speak on them.
It’s definitely not a clear cut choice and you’ll probably have to eat some shit regardless of your choice. I think the potential is highest in the US for success compared to the other choices, but you could also walk into the wrong store and get arrested by ICE.
Growing up on a small town in Iowa, I would leave my car unlocked and windows down during the day. I lived rural and we never locked our door. Now there’s been more development near my mother’s house and she locks the door at night and when she’s not home. Someone down the street about a mile away had someone break into their house. Unfortunately for the perp, the home owner heard, grabbed a golf club and gave the dude a shiner and a titlists face tattoo.
Now I live in a larger metro area and keep my doors locked all day. I truly wouldn’t need to because we have a pretty safe community, but my wife grew up in a worse place so it’s more habit than anything. We also have dogs they could potentially pop a door open and get out, so extra piece of mind.
Rich, poors with a car, and everything in between has people that illegally street race. Why? Because they find it exhilarating and don’t have empathy for those around them, assuming there are others on the road.
Here it is normal. Most of us do recognize that it shouldn’t be though.
I’m certainly not upset that someone tried to take out the guy that literally said he wanted to become a dictator if elected. I don’t think that political assassination is the right move in most situations, this included. On the contrary, I think someone should put a bullet in Putin’s head. So I ask where do we draw the line? Currently the system is corrupt and is shielding Trump from consequences. That leaves the people with few options. What is 2A for if not to defend the country from a tyranical dictator? To me, this is a “leopards ate your face” situation. Trump has been fucking around, and the people are bypassing the broken legal system so he can find out. I’m sad he lived.
Edit: To stir the pot a little more, I’m all for guns being illegal. If there were better gun policies in the USA, this wouldn’t have been possible. So this is Republican policy in action.
