It’s because there are two shots in the sequence, but one of the shots (the one of Timmy) has an abrupt slide midway that seems continuous while looking at it but seems like discrete shots when in your periphery.

Looking away makes it feel like you went from “dot-dash” to “dot-dot-dot” so the whole thing suddenly seems to speed up.

It already was the primary code sharing place though… that’s why they bought it.

It might just be two seats with a small table between them. Maybe some other seating without tables. I don’t know how many officers are on one ship or what size lounge fits how many on staggered shifts.
