Without that interconnect there is a danger to people working to repair the grid in the event of need for service. I’m not a fan of spyware meters that can map out when you use individual appliances in your home but there is a safety reason for those interconnects.

Realistically with only current market forces… more creators uploading useful non pornographic content to porn sites after realizing they pay better than youtube and the sites going along with it as views are views. Which the rumors have been flying with varying levels of truth about that happening a bit.
