I know I’m super late but when it came to tests it was for the tests students take outside of school hours and have to sign in on attendance. It’s just safeguards to ensure the actual student is taking the test and not someone else in their place.

No they aren’t used for tests or attendance. You could totally function going to school without your ID on you and not get in trouble if you don’t have it, you just might not get access to all the equipment and resources the school offers
I understand how it sounds like a police state thing but it has been a thing even when it was laminated paper. It is also only tied to the school and shows only a pic, name , student ID number and then obviously whatever school it is because they all have unique designs and layouts.
Also it’s super fun if you hanged onto them every year!

Yes it does. They may be used to indicate some privileges their parents agreed to like being allowed off campus for lunch. Or to check out books from the school library.
Taco bout the failures of American democracy amd elected officials every Tuesday!

I’m sorry gotta go on a tangent rant I was recently talking to a friend about pregnancy and it is fucking mind boggling. Organs shift, skeleton changes, and then all the crazy chemical stuff going on too.
The fact that millions of women want this and many experience it more than once is just mind boggling to me.
Eta: sorry my tangent was inspired by “childbirth is fun” but only showing the pelvis.

As someone who has had to confront homeless people with questionable mental health and/or sobriety; it’s fucking hard. You want a safe space for them but then quickly that space becomes unsafe for everyone around. But also… it isn’t hard just fucking talk to them. I have many times Don’t stop being smart but stop being afraid. Fear of the other breeds so much hate and misery
Oh if it isn’t obvious I support benches in public spaces and heavily condemn anti-houseless architecture/city planning

Or sheets you can cut to size that are just gibberish to cover up your actual tattoo (or lack of one) like
Dammit now I have another version of lyrics I hear/sing
