I agree, its just hard, or I find it hard to find projects that are that open, that big and properly organized. everything today is just so messy

Hi humans
I write code sometimes
I’m a senior Typescript developer who’s been writing code almost a decade and is currently moving to Rust.
I’m bored most of the time

I wasnt upset at the time, its just weird to get upset over the fact I didnt preemptively decide I should include links incase some people might not know how to access a post while also having accessed my post while also not being able to goto my profile. hmm
then in a month from now if its so desperate ill add a link, they could also ban links in a month from now so your argument easily goes both ways?
the website layout doesnt change per user, a mobile user will know where the mobile profile button is and likewise a desktop user, which even if they dont its literally directly below the title… grow up and use your brain ffs
I imagine on most bigger projects youd either have to be invited/hired in to contribute but thank you ill check
also if I may ask how did contributing to guix change your life? I hope for the better haha
its two clicks dude, put your attitude towards something important. Like the revolution comrade /hj
uhh… click my profile dude?
Sorry I should of been clearer. I meant the people from the last post all seemed interesting so I was wondering what projects you all were working on that are open to collaboration, even if I don’t understand I find it interesting to hear about them
also, I don’t imagine lemmy is the right place to be looking for specific work/contracts haha
I rate the rust pick, I’m trying to write more and more in rust. also that’s the type of work experience employers love so good work
I can actually see this being useful to me, when I’m setting up a new environment and need to make sure everything available from the wider web. thanks
“Professionally, I’m cleaning up AI slop. It pays!”
Heyo, Let me get in on that action. I have been refusing AI since day one for this exact reason
I don’t understand the frame of reference for 70uA at 3v but I’m glad its going well goodluck!
cough cough American hyper-capitalism
but… c++
those are both really cool projects, I’m always happy to see people make hardware that’s actually a positive to humanity
“takes users seriously. Respect their filters, don’t price gauge, eschew dark patterns, that jazz”
Is all this true because “you have a goal” or “we have strict rules”? because that’s how most dating platforms start but when they grow the new people in the project don’t care about the founders goal and it slowly enshittifies. That being said if its actually designed to give the users real control so they can prevent the enshittifcation then I’m very interested
“I’m still fretting over where (geographically) to launch”
If its an app why does there need to be a geo restricted launch? if there’s a valid reason id say launch in the closest capital to you
“how to get to sufficient user density without spending a cartload of cash on marketing”
Unfortunately money does buy fame. it’ll take ages to organically grow but using/creating a network will help (easier said then done)
“not being seen as spamming product placement in unwanted communities”
I feel that, its very dependent innit. you just gotta mention it without sounding like a shill tbh
I wonder whats on the microcontroller also… micropython 👀

him calling me inconsiderate, being condescending and claiming no one could know I was talking about myself when originally i said “…the comments on my last post…” not “The last post on here…” before i rephrased it due to the next comment made no sense
i wasnt upset, its just odd behavior like I said- I get you don’t have the unedited context though so its aight
