Had to read it twice to really get it but well said. Drsgments are an interesting concept…
Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like one of the implied theses here that solarpunk needs more expensive, vivid paintings, before drsgments will be successful?
After all we can all very easily picture an entire cyberpunk world made real, in large part because we’re all intimately familiar with all the aspects that make it terrifying and awe inspiring (multinational corporations, limitless capitalism, super-scaling IPOs held up by vibes, share holders who seem to have faith that dystopia is coming, etc).
I guess successful drsgments lead to even more vivid paintings in a circular way, so I guess the idea is either pick up a paintbrush or a shovel?
That’s been my lived experience — literally a backup after the first firewall failed in some way.
I’ve really been struggling lately in a way that feels more serious than ever before lol
I feel this watching people sending money to OpenAI after everything, even after serving an openly fascist regime

Ummmmmmm no ty

What if you’re not gay just a guy who likes having sex with men

I honestly wouldn’t have expected this, unless IQ was also correlated to empathy somehow

Present! I don’t even remember my times tables

And how to win at it and defend it from democracy
I hate this left/right shit. There’s only conservatives and everyone else.
All jobs suck but if it paid better I would never have quit being a grocery store cleaner.
I mean the money sounds great, but I’m also sure I would hate it after the first three times
I propose going to the south pole and just letting go??
But is it on the on the G of GO or after?
There is a “cost of living” small grocer in town that has boogied up my old neighborhood. I’m glad if the workers are at least earning more money, but it’s the same problem as a “good king” — good or bad, it’s not like you have any real democratic control over your own workplace.
Where are we on co-ops anyway?
