Another AA wireless user here. Worth the extra bucks to have a solid connection compared to the cheap adapters.

Can we talk about how amazing the 2-part miniseries Merlin was? Sam Neil, Helena Bonham Carter, Martin Short? It’s fantastic
These are some of my things, too. There’s something special about a meal you cooked with ingredients you grew.

I actually did read Mexican Gothic a few years back and enjoyed it as well. I think I’m conflating “horror” with “scary” or “off-putting” and that’s why I keep coming up short with this genre.

For anyone familiar with the genre, any recs for novels? I love horror but most books come off pretty campy.

I just finished A Drop of Corruption as well! I enjoyed the ride and am digging the biopunk setting. Although I feel like the leviathan threat was noticeably absent since it seems like a core trait of the worldbuilding.
Ana is an incredibly fun character to read, and Din makes a good straight man for a partner. I do think the author has leaned a little heavily into the whole Sherlock holmes bit already after only 2 books, but it hasn’t taken anything away from the story.
Extra points for the totally new genre of fantasy-biopunk-mystery-kaiju defense.
Because I was curious too
