Yeah of course, nicotine+ is a good client. The webapp I see most people use is slskd but there are others too. Where do you get your music from? Surely you don’t pay evil companies for it and not support the artist directly when you can?

Do you have to login all the time? I run mint on my TV on a mini pc and it’s fine but having to login is a pita. I tried to make it login less but it didn’t like it and I think it broke some things.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How come it seems the transfer rate from an hard drive to usb is noticably slower? But a usb to usb is incredibly fast?
0·4 days agoSata is 6gb/s at its fastest which is what most hdds connect with. Your nvme depending on pcie version and then even your usb port speed all matter. I have a pcie5 nvme my mobo supports the usb c type gen 69420 street fighter alpha 3 which tops out at 40gb/s I think. I also bought the fastest Kingston traveller usb stick I could. It’s pretty fast. What I’ve found is the diff between pcie5 and 4 is really not noticeable to me. Nice to have but I think I should have bought a bigger pcie 4 than a 1tb 5 nvme.

RetroGaming@lemmy.world•Which are wireless options on PS2 to get pressure sensitive buttons?English
0·14 days agoCould you Bluetooth mod an original controller? Is there a specific game you want the pressure buttons for? I thought there where only a few racing games that use it.
I have that brooks wingman adapter I used the usb for my fightstick to play Shmups on ps2. The bt on it is good. I paid like $60 AUD, pricey but brooks stuff is good.

Australia@reddthat.com•Couple rebuilds home after bushfire on condition it will never burn againEnglish
0·14 days agoLove it, I honestly hope we see more of this kind of housing. While not suited for everywhere but if your rural/semi-rural in a BAL FZ area which is pretty much anywhere surrounded by bush. The benefits to energy rating too are good.
As climate change becomes more of a thing here and 50 degree days become the norm in summer we’ll all live and work underground in a hundred years if things keep going the way they are. Mole people!

Linux@lemmy.ml•Turns out I have been updating wrong all this time! 🤦🏼
0·14 days agoI may be wrong but I think it’s apt-get dist-upgrade. apt full-upgrade does the same too.
Which of the gases are European’s paying more than Americans? Is it Argon? Don’t they know it’s stored in the bulbs? It’s basically free.
Absolutely, but it’s such a unique beer everyone should try it atleast once. I find it goes well with food.
I adore the beech smoke but I’m not a huge fan of peat especially in beers, it is better in scotch.
