I’m going to Zaragoza, Spain and will likely move there as well when I’m done with the first year of study.

I have a satchel bag (around 12 inches but very flexible and expandable)

It does the trick but can still get hefty if I’m not careful

Usually, i try to go up to ten things maximum (though I may do extra stuff occasionally):

  1. Wallet and whatever is in it (I’m done putting that thing in my pocket, ngl, my pockets are terribad)

  2. Pocket notebook and pen (same as the wallet ngl)

  3. a stim / fidget / soothing item and/or toy for my Autistic brain (preferably one that’s somewhat quiet and doesn’t loop back into being distracting to me in an annoying way)

  4. my tablet (Redmagic Astra; got it from China in my case)

  5. my very old phone at this point (will likely get a new one; mine seems to be eight or nine years old now)

  6. my Android keyboard (foldable mind you so that’s neat) for my tablet and / or smart phone)

  7. foldable tablet / smart phone stand

  8. Power bank for charging

  9. Power cord and power brick / adapter

  10. ear-plugs for my extreme misophonia whenever I need it (though I may also prefer these ones at times since they go up to 50dB in noise reduction)

honestly, that’s it, and even rather “extra”

I technically only need two of those (the smart phone and wallet and ensuing contents in it)

To me, the “necessaries”: are the stim / fidget, the tablet, the pocket note book with pen, power cord and adapter, and power bank. Oh, and I guess the ear-plugs. So about eight “necessaries” in total (including two of which I actually really need for myself)

Honestly, though, I would prefer to have the tablet stand and foldable Android keyboard.

The problem is that, after those ten or so items, my rather flexible satchel that I otherwise really like starts to get too big, bulky, or unweildy as you drift from the “ten” number; the more you add from then on, the more bulky it gets.

but if I were to include anything else there:

  1. the telescopic controller (Shadow Blade Gamepad 3) I have for my tablet (along with the nifty cooling vent); might have to actually replace it though ahahaha

  2. the somewhat old Bose over-ear earphones I have that doesn’t really work anymore or produce any white noise anymore (though it does muffle sound pretty well even now, which helps for my extreme misophonia when I pair it with the earplugs)

  3. sun-glasses that I can put over my normal glasses for the light but i’ll probably get one of those magnetic sun-glasses clips

  4. I sometimes bring a stencil for the items on my pocket notebook

  5. maybe a stylus but I guess that depends on when I’ll replace my Redmagic Astra which… may have issues I may honestly be willing to replace completely for (it’s a good tablet though)

not sure what more I could possibly add on to this

I might get one of those “lanyard jackets” for whatever new phone I’ll get there.

And maybe a slightly bigger satchel bag.

I think the extra space might come in handy idk

Besides, eventually I plan to wear a skirt later (and I don’t know about you but pockets in jeans SUCK; they are either not big enough or too thin or hard to take anything out of them when you’re, say, driving or sitting in the car smdh…)

Anyway, what are your EDC or “carry every day” items when you’re out of the house?

Or traveling in general?

Cheers, good to be back

The essentials in my purse right now are:

    • wallet
    • phone
    • portable fan
    • keys

There’s a lot of other stuff that rotates though. I keep the smaller stuff in pouches for ease of swapping or digging.

    • stationary pouch
    • cosmetics pouch
    • miscellaneous pouch (mostly wet naps and chewing gum)
    • 3DS
    • water bottle
    • power bank

      Oh yeah

I like my satchel bag, the one I linked up above.

But I am going to need a purse eventually.

Maybe one with more compartments and more space as well (so longer than 12 inches and taller than 9 inches).

I am definitely looking for recommendations on those.

Also, a stationary pouch! I love stationary!

Every woman needs at least 2 purses. One for when you want to bring along the kitchen sink, and others for when you just want the essentials or to look nice. But sorry, I can’t really give recommendations. I have yet to find a purse that I’ve really loved.

My stationary pouch just contains a few pens, a couple of pencils, an eraser, and a dry erase marker and eraser. Nothing terribly exciting, sorry.
