EDIT: Thanks to help received I’ll have a washing machine on Tuesday, so the problem is soon to be resolved. Thanks for the suggestions though.
I’m not having much luck with my mutual aid request for a new washing machine. I’m finding it impossible to wash my clothes by hand. I have very little use of my left arm, as well as issues with my hands. I’m finding i just can’t wring the clothes out by hand, which means i can’t get the laundry disinfectant I have to use, out properly. They’re being left itchy and smelly. Does anyone have any good tips on dealing with this?
That’s why I love this place. We all have our own mountains of excrement to move, often with tools that amount to teaspoons; but we give of ourselves when we can. When I’m discouraged and about to say “to the devil with it,” or worse, “there’s nothing I can do,” or equally bad, doing too much, reading here reminds me to stop, check in with, regulate myself, have a rest and a deeper think, before deciding to proceed.
By the way, I sent some replies yesterday that may not have gone through. It was cloudy and my device was acting up, so I wasn’t ignoring, if I seemed to/miss anything. It was a growth experience all day. 😂

I know. We do what we can, and that means recognizing we have to take time to pour into ourselves. We can’t fill another’s cup when our own is empty, mentally, physically, emotionally, or some combination. Take care of your business, comrade. You matter, too.
