Sitting is not only superior, it’s also optimal for proper urination. This is not my opinion. A pelvic PT professional told me this. I only stand rarely. Mostly when I’m in a public restroom with a urinal.
There are a few times standing can be worth it, like when there’s a line and you gotta keep it moving. Also for big crowds it saves a ton of water.
There really isn’t anything that special about standing though, it’s the urinal and zippers that make it speedy; you could totally make a women’s room counterpart to squat over in a dress that works just as well.
