I saw a news reporter say it was dated July 12th from a sports section. (Link)
What newspaper is that under his right hand? Is it current? I haven’t seen a paper in years so I have no clue if this is what I suspect, an old picture.
If he got cpr, they cracked his ribs. That’s just how it goes.

The article states it is from sunday. They clearly made it accurate as they could. Theres some good points in the comments here so who knows if it was completely faked somehow, but if he really does look that good somehow and as the arricle states theres literally nothing wrong with him the entire time, then a month off sounds like a lot and he should be back to work this week right? Mitch has a heart attack requiring CPR and a hospital trip on the 14th, time of hospitalization not publicized, and as made clear by many news organisations - his team ignored almost all requests for comment and detail by news orgs.
His wife is photographed in China sitting with the vice-president of China 3 days later on the 17th.

Chao left for China on June 12, two days before McConnell was hospitalized. The fact that she didn’t return sooner sparked conspiracy theories online.

The 911 recording said CPR was being administered. So something is not adding up here.

That is, if he was administered CPR or defibrillation and was revived, he probably had a cardiac arrest but not a heart attack. Or possibly he was having difficulty breathing and didn’t have a cardiac event at all.
OK I can see what you’re getting at, but if CPR was performed, it’s very difficult to believe an 84 year old didn’t have rib fractures at least.
He says he didn’t break any bones, he didn’t say whether the EMTs broke any of his bones.
