We own the world’s fourth largest proven oil reserves. We have a responsibility to humanity to do our part in keeping all that carbon in the fucking ground and out of the fucking atmosphere.
Oil use goes way beyond cars and energy production. The number of products produced using oil one way or anywhere is enormous and that’s not going to change any time soon.
What’s causing so many fires of that much intensity, bud?
Not exporting oil to other countries.
We should be focusing on ckeaner alternatives within Canada, but not ignore the financial incentives of moving the oil to those that want it.

That’s a fair point. Let’s develop our domestic petrochemical industry and scrap entirely fossil fuel production.
