Some people paying enormous amounts of money trying to make the pilgrimage to that place. Unfortunately not all of their heroes are glad to meet them.

Reddit calling her racist for it being evident she doesnt engage with their culture is nonsense. Are we expected to know everyone’s culture? A person got super loud and interrupted her, she smiled and nodded and said she didnt like it. When they mentioned culture she made a quick rmark about yodeling culture. Move on

It’s really hard to call this racism, because zaghrout-ing is loud.

This may be common concert behavior in Arab countries, but others expect “quiet enjoyment” of their expensive concert tickets.

It would be like someone blowing a vuvuzela during a concert and saying it’s their way of enjoying the experience, while ruining the experience for others.

My guy is seriously claiming people come to Coachella for “quiet enjoyment”

Those loud uncultured Arabs simply don’t understand that in North America everyone is quiet during outdoor concerts, pausing only for a respectful golf clap between songs!

That’s not about race, it’s about culture. You don’t call someone racist because they hate vuvuzelas, for example.

People will find anything to justify hating on a woman won’t they

Also it would be really hard to remove anything “from Lemmy” since “Lemmy” is just software and doesn’t host any content.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen lemmy show up in web search results though. Reddit’s almost always at the top.
