Too many Confederate/Rebel/MAGA flags still flying for that.
I think its funnier to upset them by calling them yankees.
If you specifically want to call them something dumb it doesn’t hurt to call them something new: S’ankees, Sou’r krauts, corn krauts, texmex, texish, etc.
