Work is so slow, that they had us stop production and made us clean for 5 hours. How’s everyone else’s work going?
This is supposed to be our quiet time (fridgies), and it is pretty quiet. Enough to keep everyone occupied for a decent portion of the day, but also to enjoy a relaxing coffee before starting and lunches that go a fair bit longer than they technically should.
It’s good to embrace the slow when you get the chance.
Agree, I have been letting my guys have extra time for smoko and lunch.
Even let my casuals take off 15 minutes early yesterday, told them I’ll close my eyes and pretend you are still here at knock off time 🤐
Currently waiting to be loaded up with the truck again. I see that fuel is rising at a fair rate all of a sudden. Woohoo lucky us. I can imagine that it will never go down again the same as with all the Covid rises that stayed high afterwards.
Some good news is that I had booked to have two shipping containers moved from block to block next Wednesday and then found out that Ekka day is Monday 10 th. I have rearranged things so that I don’t use a days annual leave on the Wednesday. I like it when things turn out for the better.
Great news everybody, you can all rest once again. The great beanie mystery of 2026 has been fully solved. One was in the pocket of my other coat at work, the other one, well as I got home it hit me ( no not the actual beanie, the memory of its whereabouts ) It was on the undercover washing line where it had been for a few days, I had walked past it often. I never stated that I was a smart person.
