Careful, we do that in Canada and it makes it very hard to have a conversation when your “centrist”(very conservative) party does a bunch of truly awful shit and half the country pulls “but it’s better than Trump!” put of their ass instead of actually doing anything meaningful.
It is better than Trump, but do they think we started with him? He’s the product of decades of steady slide into disinformation, fascism, anti-intellectualism, prejudice - the list goes on. Trump should be a warning to democracies of what happens when these things go unchecked.
